Open Source Health announces launch of the first Women’s Precision Medicine Platform in Atlanta, USA

All News from Open Source Health Investor News Press Releases

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – June 9, 2016: Open Source Health Inc. (CSE:OSH), (Frankfurt:0OS), a cloud based precision medicine platform that puts control into the hands of women to educate, advocate and collaborate on their own healthcare is pleased to announce the launch of the myAva Precision Medicine Platform with it’s first cohort of women in Atlanta, GA.

“After 2 years of development we are finally set to deliver precision medicine to women with PCOS” says Sonya Satveit, CEO of Open Source Health Inc. “By providing an in-depth molecular insight of each woman, myAva will help achieve a new understanding of PCOS and has the potential to provide precision treatment programs customized to each woman’s unique molecular makeup.”

OSH has partnered with Medici Medial Arts – Center for Integrative Medicine and will work with their integrative healthcare team to deliver precision medicine to women in the Atlanta area.

The first use case for the myAva Precision Medicine platform is to support PCOS Precision Medicine by creating “digital version of each woman” based on her molecular makeup, biometric data, clinical evidence combined with the latest scientific knowledge. This digital version of each woman will contain molecular level information such as genetic information, blood proteins and metabolites, gut and vaginal microbiome, vital signs and biometric data collected from wearable technology (e.g., heart rate, activity levels, sleep patterns), self-reported data such as quality of life and environmental conditions. This data will be integrated and analyzed using computational biology approaches cross-referenced with the latest scientific and clinical findings to objectively characterize health status and to identify potential transitions from health to disease using various molecular metrics. Participants will receive regular analysis and consultation with a healthcare professional to interpret data and discuss options to maintain a healthy state and/or to match therapy to the particular disease state they may have or be trending towards. myAva will produce a personalized health dash board that highlights actionable items and tracks progress towards optimal health in real time.

The myAva platform will be offered to medical clinics that focus on women’s health on a “per patient” subscription basis. myAva will integrate into the current EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems in use by the clinic effectively adding precision medicine to the installed base of EHRs.

Additional revenue from product and service sales and a percentage of all provider billings through the system are also included in the revenue model. OSH estimates revenue in the $2,000.00 – $3,000.00 USD per patient annually. OSH expects each clinic will be able to support 3,000 to 5,000 PCOS patients annually using the myAva platform. There are 7 million women with PCOS in America today with global prevalence rates affecting from 10% – 20% of women. For example India is experiencing some of the highest prevalence rates today exceeding 20%.

OSH plans to add additional clinics later in 2016.

Open Source Health Chairman speaks on the Future of Healthcare, OSEHRA Summit, Washington D.C.

Investor News Press Releases

“The Future of Healthcare will be driven by the Open Source Community”

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – July 28, 2015: Open Source Health Inc. (CSE:OSH), a cloud based integrative and precision healthcare platform that puts control into the hands of women to educate, advocate and collaborate on their own healthcare is pleased to announce it’s Executive Chairman, Gary Bartholomew, will present on the main stage at the 2015 OSEHRA Summit in Washington on July 29, 2015.

“This is an important summit relating to open source technology in the healthcare industry which is on the verge of a revolution”, states Executive Chairman, Gary Bartholomew, Open Source Health Inc. “We are re-defining the next generation healthcare platform by incorporating big data and artificial intelligence to deliver personalized medicine at the molecular level”.

Mr. Bartholomew will discuss The Future of Healthcare and the underlying big data-AI architecture required to deliver personalized medicine globally. The economics of delivering an individual molecular profile to each person is now in reach. Ten years ago it took $1 billion and a year to sequence a person’s genome, now its $1,000 and 1 day. With emerging new technology this will soon be done in one hour costing $100, triggering the mass adoption of personalized and preventive medicine. Beyond the genome are open source developments in the proteome, microbiome, metabolome along with quantified self, using wearable devices and “At-Home” nanotechnology sensors such as the hormone sensor under development at OSH. OSH is leading the development of the big data-AI model architecture that is needed to store and analyse all of this molecular data.

OSH leads the open source community in the development of the big data-AI platform to deliver this to the masses and curate personalized healthcare programs based on data. This is the next generation Electronic Health Record that will transform the healthcare system, empower the patient and significantly drive down healthcare costs.

Mr. Bartholomew sits on the opening discussion panel, July 29 at 9:20am discussing the latest developments in open source technology for healthcare and speaks later that day at 1:45PM on Open Source is the Future of Healthcare.

Open Source Health and GeneYouIn Announce Advances in Fertility Care Using Personalized Medicine

Investor News Press Releases

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – January 27, 2015: Open Source Health Inc. (CSE:OSH), (Frankfurt:0OS), is leading the digital transformation of integrative medicine with its cloud-based healthcare platform. OSH puts control into the hands of women to educate, advocate and collaborate on their own healthcare and is pleased to announce the convergence of integrative medicine and personalized medicine in guiding treatment of the number one cause of infertility – Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

“This is very personal for me and I am committed to helping women get access to the latest advancements in reproductive medicine,“ states Sonya Satveit, Founder and CEO of Open Source Health Inc. “It is personalized medicine combined with an integrative approach that will drive our care programs, guide physicians and ultimately provide women with the best chance at a positive outcome.”

According to the World Health Organization 116 million women worldwide suffer with Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), making it the leading endocrine disorder among women and the number one cause of female infertility. The first line of treatment involves lifestyle modifications, after which debate remains over the use of the two most common drugs, Metformin and Clomifene in dealing with the infertility that often accompanies PCOS.

“Personalized medicine allows physicians to work with their patients to uncover the best forms of treatment and mitigate risks with precautionary measures”, states Dr. Ruslan Dorfman, CEO and Founder of Genyouin Inc., a Toronto, Canada based company. “At GeneYouIn we are excited to be working with OSH to reach women with PCOS and provide them with state-of-the-art genomic sequencing technology specific to their needs.”

A simple and non-invasive genetic test can identify genetic variations in women with PCOS and help guide treatment in two ways. First, by identifying genetic variations, which can determine how well a woman will respond to Clomifene, a common pharmacologic treatment for women with infertility. Secondly, women with PCOS are already at high risk for miscarriage and by identifying specific genetic variations that put these women at higher risk for miscarriage, physicians can plan precautionary measures. A woman’s full genetic report, stored within the OSH platform, can assist physicians and patients in devising a personalized treatment plan, including preventative measures that are tailored based on their genetic makeup.

About GeneYouIn Inc.

GeneYouIn provides genetic testing and consulting services to Executive, Fertility and other specialty clinics, as well as to individuals. GeneYouIn’s products aim to inform clients, and their healthcare providers, about genetic variations that may affect drug response and inherited disease risks, to help optimize health management. To provide unique insights on an individual’s health, GeneYouIn developed innovative software solutions for pharmacogenetic genome annotation available for clinical diagnostic laboratories. A genetic test from GeneYouIn provides invaluable, actionable information about an individual’s genetic make-up enabling one to take targeted, pro-active steps towards a healthy and active life.

According to Pew Research, 7 in 10 U.S. adults track a health indicator for themselves or a loved one. This Quantifiable-Self Movement is being led by the wearable device market, with clinical home testing devices being the next evolution in health tracking.

At the recent Consumer Electronics Show, CSE 2015, the Consumer Electronics Association provided their outlook for 2015 on wearable technology:

“The wearable device revolution is a key category to watch in the coming years, and especially in 2015. CEA projects overall wearable unit sales will reach 30.9 million units (a 61 percent increase from last year) and generate $5.1 billion in revenue in 2015 (a 133 percent increase). CEA’s wearable’s category encompasses fitness activity bands and other health and fitness devices, as well as smart watches and smart eyewear.”

“The current wearable device market is only the tip of the iceberg as consumers strive to take control of their health,” states Dr. Sergey Babichenko, Head of Sensor Development, Hormone Sensing Project. “We are unlocking one of the most sophisticated systems in the human body that determine and drive women’s health each minute of the day.”
